Job DescriptionCreates finished product drawings from engineering sketches and OE or competitive product.Processes Engineering New Part Releases for new Aftermarket (A/M) products.Maintains accurate records, files and data on products in various A/M lines.Makes changes to existing drawings per approved Engineering Change Requests.Assures that Releases and ECR documents are properly routed to A/M plants. Required SkillsIndividuals in this position must possess Computer Aided Design skills and be able to function effectively on the aftermarket CAD system being used to create product drawings.3:D skills are required to accurately create product models and develop sheet drawings with correct orientations for manufacturing/fixturing.Additional computer skills are required to manipulate files, create documents (word processing and spread sheets) and access corporate databases.Verbal and written communication skills related to technical design information are required.Ability advanced mathematical concepts such as algebra and trigonometry to calculate dimensions, contours, areas, and rotations.Experience with generative shape design (GSD) is highly desirable. Required ExperienceAssociates degree in design or related field; bachelors degree preferred.Minimum five (5) years design experience required.
