Internal Controls Analyst - (Dundee) in Monroe, Michigan For Sale

The Analyst, Internal Controls has primary responsibility for supporting Business Process Owners and Control Owners in the execution of annual Internal Control cycle activities. Support activities include communicating requirements and timelines, scheduling and leading coordination discussions, monitoring progress, reporting and management reviews. In addition, this role has the lead responsibility for the administration of IC tools and associated methodologies, with a goal to sustain and enhance the use of these tools to support better intelligence gathering and action planning. Communicate annual IC Cycle requirements to BPO's and ensure understanding and commitment Support the development of the annual Risk Assessment and Internal Control Plan Transfer and promote ownership of processes, controls, and control assessments to Business Users, including providing on-going training Work with BPO's and Control Owners to ensure process and control documentation in ARIS is current Coordinate and monitor progress for the annual process and control evaluations Support BPO's and Control Owners in the coordination and completion of self-testing activities Administer and ensure proactive application and use of Internal Control tools (ARIS, RVR, Green Machine, ITG, ICNA, LECTORA, GRC, VIRSA) Provide up-to-date process and control documentation in ARIS Ensure timely and accurate assessment documentation and results in Green Machine Complete reporting requirements from RVR in a timately manner Develop and deliver training Liaise with the Group IC department on ARIS and RVR-related issues, and coordinate the deployment of directives, policies, and procedures Understand and identify operational , financial, and compliance risks in order to formulate appropriate, practical, and cost-effective recommendations Provide guidelines and best practices to improve processes Enhance the safety culture of LafargeHolcim by adhering to safety policies, taking ownership for ensuring a safe workplace, appropriately escalating safety issues to management, and participating in safety initiatives Relationships with Others: Interface and collaborate with BPO's, Control Owners, BU Management, Group Internal Controland other Internal Control team members on issues related to the annual Internal Control Cycle, IC tools and methodologies and other internal control issues that may arise Education and Work Experience: 5+ years of business/finance/accounting experience in a manufacturing or public accounting environment required Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or Accounting; MBA is a plus Professional accounting designation (CPA/CA CIA, CMA, CGA) preferred Public accounting and/or Sarbanes-Oxley (or similar) experience is a plus Knowledge and Skills: Ability to analyze business processes to identify opportunities for improvement Analytical skills and familiarity with tools and techniques to drive ongoing improvement Ability to successfully work within a team environment.
